Vino in Piazza is an annual "Made in Italy" event, presented by the Embassy of Italy, the Consulate General of Italy in Johannesburg, the Italian Trade Agency, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce, to promote and celebrate Italian products, lifestyle, and culture. Running concurrently with the International "La settimana della cucina Italiana", this event never fails to deliver the very best of Authentic Italian Lifestyle.

Cecilia Bendinelli is from Florence and loves cooking typical dishes of Tuscany, tradition that was transmitted to her by her grandmother with whom she spent her childhood afternoons. It is from her that she learned how to cook and she keeps her recipes as a real treasure. Cecilia likes going grocery shopping and meet people passionate about their job who give her advises on the best products. Her favourite Tuscan recipes are the pappa al pomodoro, the ribollita, the lampredotto sandwich, the peposo, dishes that she prepares with passion and that put her in a good mood.

Cecilia Bendinelli viene da Firenze e adora preparare i piatti tipici della cucina fiorentina, tradizione che le è stata trasmessa dalla nonna con cui ha passato i pomeriggi della sua infanzia. Da lei ha imparato a cucinare e conserva le sue ricette come un vero e proprio tesoro. A Cecilia piace molto andare a fare la spesa e incontrare persone appassionate che le consiglino i prodotti migliori. Le sue ricette toscane preferite sono la pappa al pomodoro, la ribollita, il panino con il lampredotto, il peposo, piatti che prepara con molta passione e che la mettono di buon umore.

Corinna Carbini is from Sardinia and the passion of cooking was transmitted to her by her family, in particular her mother, who she loved to help in the preparation of the traditional pasta fresca. She was born in a little village on the mountains and, even if now she lives in a house near the sea, she has the strong desire to spread the traditions and customs of her village, most of all in the culinary area. The activity that she carries out as a Cesarina allowed her to meet people from England, Denmark, Holland even California and share with them her passion.

Corinna Carbini viene dalla Sardegna e la passione per la cucina le è stata trasmessa dalla sua famiglia, in particolare dalla mamma, che amava aiutare nella preparazione della tradizionale pasta fresca. È nata in un piccolo paese di montagna e, anche se ora vive in una casa vicino al mare, ha il forte desiderio di diffondere le tradizioni e gli usi del suo paese, soprattutto nel campo della cucina. L’attività che svolge come Cesarina le ha permesso di venire a contatto con persone provenienti dall’Inghilterra, dalla Danimarca, dall’Olanda e perfino dalla California e condividere con loro la sua passione.

Alessandra Clemente was born in Apulia, but now she lives in Bologna, city in which she arrived to study and that made her fall in love so that she moved in. Here she learned the art of the rolling pin, an activity that she loves so much that she left her office job to dedicate her time to it. In 2016 she became a Cesarina in order to spread her passion about kitchen to everyone who wants to learn more and she became a teacher of pasta and cuisine, turning her passion into a profession.

Alessandra Clemente è originaria di Apulia, ma ora vive a Bologna, città in cui si è arrivata per studiare e che l’ha fatta innamorare al punto di trasferivisi. Qui ha conosciuto l’arte della sfoglia tirata con il mattarello, un’attività che l’ha fatta appassionare talmente tanto da lasciare il suo lavoro in ufficio per dedicare il suo tempo ad essa. Nel 2016 è diventata una Cesarina così da poter diffondere la sua passione per la cucina a chiunque ne voglia sapere di più ed è diventata anche maestra di sfoglia e cucina, trasformando la sua passione in una professione.

Within the framework of the event Vino in Piazza, which will be held in Johannesburg from 12 to 14 November, we are pleased to announce the presence of the prestigious Italian chef Luciano Monosilio, also known as the King of Carbonara. His cooking philosophy is based on a deep knowledge of the raw material and strong technical skills. At the age of 22, he gained an experience in Capetown to improve his skills as a kitchen manager. At the Pipero restaurant, Luciano Monosilio, when he was 27, won his first Michelin Star. Since 2018, Monosilio has opened his first restaurant, @Luciano - Cucina Italiana, located in the heart of Rome near Campo de’ Fiori, which reflects his core principle: the quality and experience of a Michelin-starred restaurant and the popular tradition.

Nell’ambito dell’evento Vino in Piazza, che si terrà a Johannesburg dal 12 al 14 novembre, siamo lieti di annunciare la presenza del prestigioso chef italiano Luciano Monosilio, conosciuto anche come il Re della Carbonara. La sua filosofia di cucina si basa su una profonda conoscenza della materia prima e forti competenze tecniche. All’età di 22 anni, ha fatto un’esperienza a Capetown per migliorare le sue capacità di direttore di cucina. Al ristorante Pipero, Luciano Monosilio, quando aveva 27 anni, ha conquistato la sua prima Stella Michelin. Dal 2018 Monosilio ha aperto il suo primo ristorante, @Luciano - Cucina Italiana, situato nel cuore di Roma vicino a Campo de’ Fiori, che riflette il suo principio cardine: la qualità e l’esperienza di un ristorante stellato Michelin e la tradizione popolare.
